The Reverend James WHEATON appears to have been signing entries in the Register from 1800 until the 4th January 1818.  The last few entries are not in his handwriting.

 

Of his children, the baptisms for James, Henry, Francis Mary (baptised 1809) and Charlotte were undertaken by Mr SMALL of Axminster.  James WHEATON baptised Mary (1810) and John was baptised by a Mr Samuel ROOKER.  James WHEATON has signed all the baptisms in the registers from 1800-1818 except the ones of James's own children mentioned above.
