Private Theodore Wheaton carried a diary during his tour of duty in the Civil War.  Theodore was born on 11 December 1846 in the area of Monroe county, Ohio.  He became a farmer in the Monroe county area of Ohio; possibly around the township of Stafford.  On 22 February 1864, he volunteered for service in the 92 Regiment, Company A, of the Ohio infantry.  He was transfered to Compant H, 31st Regiment of the Ohio infantry on 5 June 1865.  After he was mustered out of the service (July 20, 1865), Theodore met his family in the area of Eagle township, Richland county, Wisconsin.  On 10 February 1911, Theodore died at 11 P.M..
