YOUNG, Cecilia (b. BET OCT AND DEC 1864, d. BET OCT AND DEC 1905)
Note: Addresses
1891 6 Garden Cottages, Lambeth, London (RG12/398 folio 23 page 39)
Name could be Cessey but initial letter difficult to determine. If this is the case it could
have been a nickname for Cecilia, but if it is Jessey, then we have made a mistake with
the name of George's wife!
1901 There was no George WHEATON recorded on the 1901 census. However, there was the
following:
7 Youngs Road, London Road, St George the Martyr, Southwark, Surrey
George WEBB (39) Dock???? Labourer born London Bermondsey and
Cecilia WEBB (36) born Isle of Thanet, Kent
Other than the surname these details match George and Cecilia.
Cecilia died in the Croydon District, Surrey in 1905, Croydon being south of Southwark, and
George died in the Southwark District.
There was also an adopted daughter, Lily McKENZIE (3) born Clapham, Surrey

WHEATON, Thomas (b. ABT 1761, d. UNKNOWN)
Note: We have not found any further details for Thomas. His mother died before he was baptised, his father remarried five months later, and his new bride was 18 years old so probably was not eager to look after someone else's child. Was Thomas brought up by his own mother's family? If so, perhaps he used their name of MACKNESS.
