and
SIDNEY-WILMOT H.F. Silver, Hadleigh Rd, Uppper Layham, Hadleigh (I think this is Harold Fenman)

Information from John TERRY 21/2/2011
(John has a photograph af the gravestone)..... which I found on the Gravestone Photographic Resource Web Site. It appears from the inscription that Harold had a child/children. I think the fact he was married to Elisabeth T GREENE (who I do not think was a child of his but his partner after the death of his wife Mary in 1949). If she had been a child of his he would have only been fifteen when he had her so I think it most unlikely.

I have found the death of Elisabeth in 1983 in Ipswich district, Suffolk. So her full name was Elisabeth Teressa GREENE and she was born on 21st September 1923.

SIDNEY-WILMOT, Jean (b. 31 MAR 1919, d. 29 JAN 1973)
Note: Information from John TERRY 17/2/2011
1973 EgyptAir Ilyushin Il-18 crash
EgyptAir Ilyushin Il-18 , Accident summary, Date January 29, 1973, Crash on approach, Kyrenia Mountain Range
Passengers 30, Crew 7, Injuries 0, Fatalities 37, Survivors 0
Aircraft type Ilyushin Il-18D, Operator EgyptAir, Flight origin Cairo International Airport, Destination Nicosia International Airport
The EgyptAir Ilyushin Il-18 crash occurred on the 29th of January 1973. The turboprop ran the international route between Cairo International Airport and the now defunct Nicosia International Airport. All 37 people on board died. It was the fourth accident, and the third with fatalities, involving the newly established EgyptAir. The plane crashed in the Kyrenia mountain range in Cyprus on its descent while approaching the runway from the north. The resulting explosion, about 12 miles (19 km) from Nicosia airport, resulted in a fire which was put out by the Cypriot National Guard. The turboprop hit the mountain at an altitude of 783 metres (2,569 ft) (117 metres (384 ft) below the crest).[4] The black box of the aircraft was analysed in Moscow.

Passenger nationalities were: 14 Britons, 7 US citizens, 2 Swedes, 1 French, 3 Egyptians, 1 Jordanian, 1 Canadian, 1 Irish. All 7 members of the crew were Egyptian. Two of the passengers were Jean SWORD née SIDNEY-WILMOT and her husband Roderick William Dennistoun SWORD

There is a Monumental Inscription at All Saints, Great Horkesely for Roderick WIlliam Dennistoun Sword, Middlesex Regiment, killed in an air carsh in Lapithos, Cyprus, 1973.

I have now found that it reads
A22 ( Scroll-topped headstone on plinth, with vase )

The Middlesex Regiment / Died aged 63 years in an air crash
At Lapithos, Cyprus / With his wife Jean
Whose grave is nearby / On 29th January 1973

SWORD, Roderick William Dennistoun (b. 28 SEP 1909, d. 29 JAN 1973)
Note: Information from John TERRY 17/2/2011
Notes for Roderick William Dennistown SWORD
1940 The London Gazette. The Military Cross, Captain Roderick William Dennistoun SWORD. The Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's Own)

Roderick William Dennistown SWORD arrived in London England from Cape Town South Africa on the "Braemar Castle" on 26th February 1958. It shows he had been living in Kenya as a permanent resident. There are also two arrivals from Brisbane, Australia for a Roderick SWORD born in 1910 in 1933 and 1934. There are also two marriages for a Roderick W D SWORD in 1943 in Wincanton, Somerset to a ??? (no name comes up for spouse but is shows he married a SWORD) and in December quarter 1966 in Merionith district Wales to a Jean SWORD. Did he remarry his first wife in 1966

I have found in BURKES PEERAGE the following
Iris Angela (Westcombe, Somerset) married 24th June 1943 (marriage dissolved by divorce 1966) her cousin Major Roderick William Dennistoun SWORD only son of late lt.-Col. Donald Cuthertson Dennistoun SWORD DSO and has issue (see below).

The below paragraph reads:
1b Roderick William, MC (1940), Major 1st Middx Regt, served in World War II (Ash Cottage, Coggeshall, Essex), born 28 September 1909 etc. ............
So this shows the 1943 marriage, which was dissolved in 1966 so it still leaves the question did he then remarry his first wife Jean in the same year.
