TAYLOR, Rose Lee (b. BET JUL AND SEP 1865, d. UNKNOWN)
Note: Addresses
1871 Not found
1881 2 Stanley Road, St Mary Layton, Essex as Rose Lee TAYLOR
Living with her aunt, Clara LEE
1891 Not found

May 2013
Barbara WHEATON suggested that this Rose Lee TAYLOR living with her Aunt Clara in 1881 could be the same person as Emily Rose LEE living with her Aunt Clara in 1871. Both girls were born about 1865 (1881 & 1871 census), Rose Lee TAYLOR in St Anne's. Soho, London, Middlesex (1881 census) and Emily Rose LEE in Strand District, Middlesex (registration) or St James, Middlesex (1871). (St Anne's was in the District of the Strand, but was then moved to St James in 1868 which could explain the confusion about the birth places)

Emily Rose LEE's birth is registered and then she only appears on the 1871 census with Aunt Clara, no further census information has been found, nor a marriage or a death.
Rose Lee TAYLOR's birth is not registered either as LEE or as TAYLOR and then she only appears on the 1881 census with Aunt Clara, no further census information has been found, nor a marriage or a death.

The only possible clue, although no where near definite, is that in 1871 also living with Aunt Clara was Robert W LEE, son of Wheaton LEE. Robert is living with his father in 1881. It was therefore assumed that Emily Rose LEE was Robert's sister and she was therefore also a child of Wheaton LEE.

As there is no certainty about whether these two girls are the same person for the time being Emily Rose LEE has been left as daughter of Wheaton LEE, and Rose Lee TAYLOR has been left as daughter of Elizabeth TAYLOR née LEE.

Any information to help us sort this out would be welcome.
