About Robert FREESTONE. I've seen his grave a number of times and wondered why his seem a lonely grave away from the other family graves in Shenley. Apparentley his parents had to get a special licence to get married on a Sunday during the war as being a baker at that time you couldnt have a full working day during the week. so Ridge was the only church able to fit them in. So little Robert lies there. If you look up his death on findmypast they have him down as 18 years by mistake.
